MEET MILIKA
I'm Dutch, born on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, raised on Aruba, and have since lived in The Hague, Hong Kong, and London, which I now call home. That kind of upbringing gives you an eye for different ways of living. It also gives you a genuine curiosity about people, places, and what makes a space feel right for the person in it.
Before interior design, I had a career in financial services — as a marketing executive at Citco and BNY Mellon. That background taught me how to manage complexity, meet deadlines, and keep a project moving. Skills that turn out to be just as useful on a renovation as in a boardroom.
I trained at KLC School of Design and have been working in residential and small commercial interior design ever since. I am a member of the British Interior Design Association (BIID), which keeps me connected to the industry and up to date with best practice, materials, and the people doing interesting work.
My projects have taken me across London, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, and Aruba, where I also renovated and manage my own villa. I speak four languages, have travelled to over 45 countries, and that breadth of experience feeds directly into my work. I don't have one signature style. I have a signature approach: listen first, design second, and never stop until it feels right.
What I love most is the mix of contemporary with antique, high-end with high street, bold colour with restraint. I design spaces that are layered and intentional, built around how you actually live, not how a room is supposed to look.
If you have a project in mind, a single room, a full home, a rental, or a commercial space — get in touch. I'd love to hear about it.
With love,
Milika Meehan Ponson
