The space involved removing walls, extending the room, and installing a Crittal door between the office and kitchen area. Milika handled the full scope, from concept and moodboard through to floor plans, wall elevations, 3D visuals and technical drawings for the contractor. Everything was detailed and ready to build from.

What stood out was how well she listened. I wanted an industrial minimalist feel with natural materials, a space where my colleagues could feel comfortable and focused. She introduced herringbone wood flooring, metal, stone and cork, including a full cork notice board wall that is both practical and a design feature in itself. Two Van Gogh accent walls added personality without tipping into decorative excess.

Practical details were just as well considered: storage, electrical, a dedicated area for jackets and bags. Nothing unnecessary, nothing missing.

The project ran on time and communication was seamless throughout, all handled remotely via Zoom. For a project in Gouda, the distance was never an issue.

I would recommend Milika without hesitation, particularly if you want a designer who takes your brief seriously and delivers to a high professional standard.

“I contacted Milika to help me redesign my ground floor area of my home as the kitchen was dark and cold.
